Review: 1)We now have two of these beds. The first was such a success with our dogs, our Brittany in particular. This bed gets daily use and I vacuum the top weekly to get rid of dog hair easily. We even throw this in the car when we head out on the road to visit family- the handle is great for transport. 2)As with the other Ruffwear products I've purchased, the quality of this bed is very nice: I expect it will last for a very long time. I'll use it mostly indoors, but I like the fact that it can easily transition to outdoor use, and the handle makes it easy to move. As other reviewers have said, the large is REALLY large! My dog is about 60 lbs and skates the edge of medium and large for most products. This bed could easily hold two of her. |

Swamp Cooler™ Cooling Vest from Ruffwear The Ruffwear Swamp Cooler uses natural evaporative cooling to keep your dog cool. Soak it in cold water, wring it out, and fasten around your dog. Evaporative cooling exchanges the dog's heat as water evaporates from the coat's reservoir. The Swamp Cooler's light color is designed to reflect heat from the sun. Combined with the evaporative cooling effect, the Swamp Cooler keeps dogs comfortable when temperatures rise. Auto-lock buckles on each side of the jacket provide easy on/off. Various sizes. |
Review: 1)Very nice, little gardens to get on, clips are way too far up. Help a lot. 114 degrees days here. I use it for potty walks, helps definitely. When I take it off, her fur is cool. 2)I live in the Central Valley of California so during the hot summer months I run my dogs 4-5 miles at daybreak using the Ruffwear Swamp Cooler cooling vest. It is very effective at keeping their core temperature down to endure to exercise. |

Review: 1)We just took Leodog out on his first overnight in preparation for hundreds of trips in his lifetime, and this pack did great (and, I must say, so did Leo). The trail was difficult - snow, brush, and avalanche debris field, log crossings, fords. The pack stayed in place, didn't seem to bother him, let him carry his own water, and didn't seem to unbalance him on precarious log crossings. We found no chafing. The handle on the harness was super helpful when he got was struggling in a deep posthole in the snow and when crossing the biggest ford. My only complaint is the daisy chain strap on the top of each saddlebag. Why are those there? Does anyone use them? If I strapped anything to them I feel like he'd just get hung up in the brush. In fact, one got caught in the avalanche debris field. He twisted and got some of the mesh stuck too. We had to take the pack off partly to get him unstuck. From now on we're just going to take the pack off in places like that, but I don't think it would have been an issue if the daisy chain loops weren't there. We might remove them. But - the awesome thing is that he yanked pretty hard on the strap and mesh and neither shows any sign of wear. This pack is well-made and tough! |
